Pour comprendre la santé cardiaque, il faut aller au-delà d’un simple chiffre.

Bien que l’IMC et le tour de taille soient couramment utilisés pour évaluer le risque cardiométabolique, ils ne donnent pas une image complète de la situation. La composition corporelle fournit des informations plus détaillées sur la graisse viscérale, la masse musculaire squelettique et la santé métabolique globale, des facteurs clés liés aux résultats à long terme.

Les recherches continuent de montrer qu’une approche plus globale, allant au-delà de l’IMC, favorise une meilleure sensibilisation, une meilleure prévention et des discussions éclairées sur la santé.
