Respect at Work: National Survey Now Open

Every worker deserves respect and safety on the job. Led by the Canadian Labour Congress and researchers at Western University and the University of Toronto, a new national survey is gathering workers’ experiences with harassment and violence.

We want to hear from all workers aged 18+ who have worked in the past 12 months, whether or not you have experienced or witnessed harassment or violence at work. Your response will help us understand workers’ experiences and push for stronger protections to make work safer for all.

People of Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong have your say! Did you know mailings to your MP are free! Tell your MP to protect door to door and keep open smaller rual post office in our area (which could include Brights Grove, Courtright, Corunna,Petrolia…etc) these offices are at risk for closure.

The Women's Interval Home of Sarnia-Lambton is seeking donations of essential items to provide comfort and necessities for women and children in the shelter.

We are in need of:

- New clothing: Grey/Black Hoodies, Coats (all sizes), Tights (all sizes), Sports Bras, and Women's underwear (L & XL).
- Footwear: Boots/shoes (size 8 & up).
- Children's Items: Toddler clothing (12 months - 5T).
- Hygiene: Conditioner/Body Wash, Body Sprays, and Razors.

Hey everyone we raised 850 dollars for the Siamese cats from the hoarding house situation. We’ve done a few fundraisers and hot dog days at work. Thanks to the generous donations from Canada post employees, these cats that were rescued will hopefully get vetted and adopted to families soon. Good work everyone 😻

Thank you to everyone that purchased a ten pack of stamps to mail out ten letters to family or friends. The letter mail volumes in our area are climbing due to such a positive response from the public. Let's keep this going as a monthly action to spread good energy and support the public Postal Service that connects all citizens across this vast and wonderful country. Send a card to Grandma, your child or a co worker. Anyone to brighten their day.
