Honouring Our Ontario Volunteer Service Award Recipients
Each year, organizations are able to submit up to seven names for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards, which recognize volunteers for their committed and dedicated service to an organization. Through these provincial awards, adults are honoured for 5 to 25 years of continuous service with one organization, and youth age 24 and under are recognized for two or more years of continuous service. While only six volunteers and one youth can be formally nominated, every one of our hospice volunteers is truly valued and essential, and these nominees represent the heart, dedication and compassion that all of our volunteers bring to St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia Lambton.
We are proud to share that the following St. Joseph's Hospice volunteers were nominated for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards for five or more years of service:
• Felicity Burnard
• Paul Lane
• Cathy Smith-Schertzberg
• Maureen Morkin
• Andrew Brennek
• John DeGroot
• Claudia Drewitt, Youth Award
Each nominee was recognized by the Province of Ontario at the Ontario Volunteer Service Award ceremony with a lapel pin and certificate for their dedication.
Please join us in congratulating Felicity, Paul, Cathy, Maureen, Andrew, John and Claudia, and in thanking all of our volunteers for all they do for St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia Lambton.
