November is recognized as Diabetic Foot Health Month. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of foot health for individuals with diabetes. People with diabetes are at a higher risk of developing foot complications, including ulcers and infections, which can lead to serious issues, such as amputations. Diabetic Foot Health Month aims to educate individuals with diabetes about the significance of regular foot care, proper footwear, and early detection of foot problems. The goal is to reduce the incidence of diabetes-related foot complications and improve the overall well-being of those living with diabetes.
