From kitchen skills to barn manners 🥕🍎

This week our clients made homemade horse treats from scratch — grating carrots, chopping apples, measuring dry ingredients, and practicing oven safety every step of the way.

But the learning didn’t stop there. We carried those skills into the barn — being calm, gentle, patient, and respectful with one another and with the horses.

Life skills aren’t just worksheets. They’re hands-on, meaningful, and a whole lot sweeter when you get to share the final product with a four-legged friend 💛🐴

Our Wednesday night groups had a blast learning about hibernation and animal burrows under the snow! Then, we attempted to dig our own burrows. Guess we need some furry friends to lend a paw! 🐿️🦔🦝

The Nature Navigators and L2 Livin’ & Learnin’ groups joined forces to whip up a storm in the kitchen! We dived into the world of cooking and created a menu that was both tasty and nutritious - snow-shaken ice cream, homemade chicken strips, panzerotti, and fresh cucumber slices. Kudos to everyone for your teamwork and culinary skills!

Learning new skills is our jam! Our Wednesday night groups had a blast chopping fruit for bird treats and threading garlands for our feathered friends. We focused on going slow, supporting each other, and being kind to nature.
