Genesis Restorative Clinic is a growing Therapeutic and Rehabilitative clinic in central Sarnia. Our specialty is pain management and soft-tissue rehabilitation for acute or chronic orthopedic conditions and dysfunctions.
The client experience at Genesis begins before your first appointment with our convenient online booking system. This makes it easy for our clients to view our available appointments and pick the time that works best for them. When booking their first appointment they are also given the option to fill out our Health History form online which saves time during the appointment and allows the therapist to review the form before the client arrives.
Along with the Health History form, our initial appointment will include an in-depth discussion about the clients symptoms leading to our thorough physical assessment.
Treatment:
During our Massage Therapy treatments, we will typically use a variety of techniques to treat the condition. These may including deep tissue work, PNF stretching, Active Release Technique, joint decompression, cupping and corrective exercises. We use these techniques to address soft-tissue injuries that affect the muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments and joints of the body. Many orthopedic conditions we see are caused by repetitive motion or poor mechanical habits. Our comprehensive approach can reduce pain, treat repetitive injury, restore balance to targeted muscle groups, decompress achy or arthritic joints and enhance circulation and lymphatic flow.
Client Education:
We feel that it is very important for the client to understand why they are feeling the symptoms they are and how the work we are doing is going to help. The more you know about how pain occurs in the body the better equipped you will be in preventing and managing pain as it comes up. We take the time to explain the symptoms, condition, and path to healing to our clients.
Home Care:
At Genesis we pride ourselves in offering our patients the latest technologies to help them achieve their outcomes. To create our clients tailored exercise programs we use a brand new app called PhysiApp. PhysiApp lets you complete your prescribed exercise program by following crystal-clear, narrated exercise videos. PhysiApp is free to download from the App store and Google Play store or can be accessed via your browser. Built-in reminders help our clients to stay on track and they can even send us messages from the app for better communication.
