From a simple idea to a meaningful impact 💙

While studying medicine in England, Sarnia-born Alexa McCloskey wanted to give back to the community that helped shape her path. With the support of St. Giles Presbyterian Church, a bake sale fundraiser raised $1,100 in support of paediatric care at Bluewater Health.

These funds will help purchase an examination light for the Maternal Infant Child (MIC) unit, along with care items for our littlest patients, supporting comfort and care for children and families at our hospital.

This April, we’re recognizing Organ & Tissue Donation Awareness Month with a refreshed look at a very special space within Bluewater Health. 💚

The beautiful artwork in the Shell Healing Garden just off the main entrance has been thoughtfully restored and returned for the spring. Originally donated by Sarnia Organ Donor Awareness (SODA) in collaboration with local artists, these pieces were recently refreshed after years of wear, bringing new life back to a space that honours donors, recipients, and the power of giving.

This art installation has long served as a meaningful place for reflection and awareness, recognizing the profound impact of organ and tissue donation.

Thank you to SODA for your continued dedication to this important cause and for helping keep this space vibrant and inspiring for all who visit.
