Facing Our Reality
We’ve always believed in being transparent with our community — and right now, we have to face our reality.

Our friends at Nooch Windsor will be closing their doors. It’s heartbreaking to see, and we know they’re not alone. Over the past year, so many amazing vegan and non-vegan businesses have struggled or closed. Rising costs, inflation, and a slower economy have made it harder than ever for small restaurants to survive.
When times are tough, dining out is often one of the first luxuries people cut back on — and we completely understand that.
As for Greens, our lease is up in September 2026, and we need to start making some big decisions before then. Our rent and CAM fees have increased by $2,000 per month, and delivery costs for specialty products range from $80 to $300 — challenges that make running a small, independent restaurant increasingly difficult.
The good news is that we have a new, reasonable landlord who’s willing to work with us, and we’re hoping for a positive outcome.
Here are some of the options we’re considering before 2026:

-Moving locations (again)
-Closing our doors and celebrating an incredible 12-year journey (last possible resort)
-Finding new owners to continue what we’ve built
-Partnering with like-minded people or investors who share our passion and values.

Whatever happens, we want to thank you; our customers, staff, and community, for every bit of love and support you’ve shown us.
