If you are creating, you are an artist. If you aren't making money from your art you are still an artist. You are an artist because its who you are, how you think and how you move through the world, not because you use your gifts to make money for the machine.

This year, I’ve been in such awe of all the olympians and the way they use their bodies. Two valuable lessons I’ve learned from having a physical practice & working on my own athleticism.

1. The power of a minute: you know how many reps/asanas/breaths you can get done in one minute? I no longer discount a minute as small or invaluable. 60 seconds can make a world of difference.

2. The time is gonna pass anyway! might as well spend it getting better - more disciplined, more driven, more enduring. I cant tell u how many times i’ve looked in the mirror after falling off the wagon like, “damn if only had just kept it going those 6 weeks.” They passed like the blink of an eye but i didn’t get any closer to my goals. Do something w your now body that will your later body will thank you for!

Every time i connect deeper with my body, i connect deeper with my purpose, my essence, my God!

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

That was the theme of my class last night: COMMUNITY. One of my students got to the studio early w this idea, for her own personal reasons, to reenact this exercise she’d seen. Which...im not a fitness instructor lol but hey lets have fun! There was no way she couldve done this alone because it took MORE THAN ONE PERSON. Though only two of us are pictured, it required a collective including the person who took this pic. Moral of the story *see quote above*.

When imposter syndrome hits, i know for me its not as easy as reading a meme or repeating some affirmation that holds little emotional weight because it simply does NOT feel like MY TRUTH in the moment.

But what does help is coming back to my body. Coming back to the truth of my biological existence & the divine purpose in the here & now. In this skin. I do that by grounding.

How do you ground? Not sure about “grounding” check out the last reel!

There isn’t much to question about God when we open our eyes and hearts to the answers divinely provided for us.

I use the words God and universe interchangeably because there is no greater example of divinity than the nature around us. The earth that supports us, is the greatest embodiment of the Creator.

Vast. Ever-loving. Ever-nourishing. Constant.
