STRENGTHENING FOR CALF TIGHTNESS ✌️

In My experience i’ve found a tight muscle is a weak muscles and the best way to combat this tightness is to strengthen that muscle. In this way you’ll increase its capacity outside of what is asked of it on a daily basis. If your muscles have a greater capacity than what’s required on a daily basis then they’ll easily cope with those demands you ask of it.

Runners - you must train your calves not only for performance enhancement but also for injury resilience.

Simple Test: 1 Leg Single Calf Raises - As many as you can do - hitting the same height each time with a controlled motion.

25 reps is the target - any less or a difference of 10% from side to side - you need to work them to get them until you find this number well within your capacity. Also include weighted calf raises and dynamic exercises.
