Can I Get My Loved One’s Ashes Back the Same Day?

We know how important it can be for families to have their loved one’s ashes returned as quickly as possible. It’s a question we’re asked often — and for good reason.

🌼 In some cases, yes.

Same‑day ashes can be arranged depending on the time of the cremation, the type of service booked, and our schedule that day. While it isn’t always guaranteed, our team will always do everything we can to support families who need a quicker return.

If receiving ashes the same day is important to you, just let your funeral arranger us know when making arrangements. We’re here to guide, support, and make the process as smooth as possible. 💛

When you next visit us look out for:

- Tweeting birds in their nests
- Green buds starting to appear
- Foxes, squirrels, butterflies, and other passing wildlife
- Sunlight dancing through the tree branches (we can hope for sun at least!)

We understand that modern life is full, and finding the right time for an important farewell can be challenging for families with work, school, and other commitments.

That’s why we’re pleased to offer our candle‑lit services from 5.30pm, providing a beautiful out‑of‑hours option for those who need greater flexibility.

As evening falls, our chapel is gently illuminated with warm candlelight, creating a calm, intimate atmosphere for families to gather, reflect, and honour their loved one — without the pressure of daytime schedules.

If an early‑evening service would better support your family’s needs, we’re here to help you plan a meaningful and unhurried farewell.

Delicately crafted and a beautiful, intricate floral design 🩷🍃

These urns and keepsakes, finished in soft pastel tones, offer a quiet and personal option for remembrance.

The larger urn is suitable for a full set of ashes, while the smaller urn is designed to hold a portion, making it a gentle choice when several family members wish to have a keepsake of their own. The heart keepsake allows space for a small token of ashes or a lock of hair - a simple, meaningful way to keep someone close.

This is just one of many carefully considered memorial options, created to rest peacefully in a home or another place that feels right. Brighter days are on their way and before we know it the flowers will be in bloom! The sunset will start to gradually move forward and this is how the next few months will look ☀️🌱

- February - the sun begins to set after 5.30pm

- March - evenings draw out towards 6.30pm (and suddenly feel much lighter)

- April - daylight lingers until around 8pm

- May - long, calm evenings arrive, with sunsets close to 9pm

We can't wait to see those fresh green shoots and watch the grounds burst into colour - the quiet sense of renewal that comes with the changing season and a reminder that brighter days, in every sense, are always ahead. 🌸🌿

If you’ve been waiting for a brighter day, please know we currently have good availability for memorial appointments over the coming weeks. Our team is here to support you with anything you need, whether that’s selecting a memorial, arranging an inscription, or simply getting some guidance.
