Happy Valentine's Day.....

Yes, we know it was Saturday, but we wanted to show you some of the pictures of all the messages our lovely residents wanted to send out. They all had a wonderful time, and there were lots of flowers and cards arriving at the home. It all made for a lovely day with a lot of love in the air!

They say love makes the world go round...well our residents agree with that and so have been making some early preparations for Valentine's Day, by creating some rose-themed decorations. Marvellous Memories...

Our lovely residents here at Manorfields have a wealth of life experiences behind them. One of the ways we bring those past events or experiences back to life is by having memory boxes in the home to jog the thought processes and help everyone remember good times. This week, we had just such a session, and everyone had lots of fun recalling times gone by.

Peaceful Pastimes.....

After the excitement and bustle of Christmas and New Year, it was nice for our residents to settle down to some gentler activities this week. They really enjoyed doing some colouring and jigsaws, whilst looking at the cold weather outside. Both activities are excellent at promoting engagement and helping fine motor skills. Not forgetting to mention that everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part.

New Year Nails!

Our lovely resident, Janet, decided to have a new look for the new year and get her nails painted. Step up our Activities Coordinator to act as the home's very own nail bar artist! The result can be seen in the pictures - needless to say, Janet was well pleased with her new look!

Fun and Games.....

Having fun didn't come to an end at Manorfields just because the festive season came to a close....oh no! We are adept at keeping the January blues away! This week, we have been playing indoor games to keep minds and bodies exercised. We have quite a competitive crowd at the home so there were lots of laughs and some fierce tussles. Post Christmas activities.....

Here at Manorfields, we haven't slowed down just because Christmas has been and gone. Oh no - today we have been having a crafting session, colouring in some cards for 2026, as well as playing some games. Our residents like to stay as active as possible, and of course, they are just limbering up for the NYE excitement!

A special day!....

So many people worked so hard to make Christmas Day at Manorfields one to remember. Everyone had the best time, and it was so wonderful to see so many families and friends come to the home and share in the festivities. It made for a terrific atmosphere all day long. There was lots of laughter and some lovely moments - just a few of which we have captured in some of these photos. A huge thank you to everyone who worked, visited, and took part in activities throughout the day.

Such a cutie!....

Hearts were melted at Manorfields this week when we got a visit from a relative's little puppy - a miniature Daschund. As you can see from the pictures everyone fell in love with the puppy, and nobody wanted to let it go. We hope the puppy returns soon, as it's sure to capture our hearts all over again!
