About me...and 4 horses

Hi there, so some of you know me and some of you don't. Either way, you have to know that since I could walk, I had a passion for horses. (in fact, I have a photo of me on my brothers hunter BEFORE I could walk, and my dad could hardly reach his withers!)

I first owned my own ex racer at the age of 22. I’ve wanted a horse at least since I was 5...but wasn't in the position to ever own one when younger. Then one day - I found Riff....and he was a nutter!

Ex racehorses normally are. I had to stop, listen to him, and retrain him. I looked up natural horsemanship and started to realise that horses aren't just devious or nasty, and they dont just think “I’m going to get her today”....they have a reason for everything they do. They have a response. They have a feeling, a pain, a fear, and they have a heart. They just cant talk..... (well, in their way, they do - we just don't often speak horse!)

So, here we are many years later. I now have a mare and foal,... and my old lad passed away at a ripe old age of 27 very recently, after battling cushings. I have been in an entirely different industry for 20 years - which means I have PASSION! You don't stay with one thing like that unless you love it, and you're good at it! (Anyone with a 2 foot deep muddy field or a chestnut mare can relate!)
