Today I was invited to a local church to witness a friend’s baptism. While there, I also witnessed other baptisms and saw people whose families I’ve had the honour of serving during funerals.

It was unexpectedly moving — a powerful reminder of the privilege it is to walk alongside people in both their moments of deep loss and profound joy.

Feeling deeply touched and grateful to serve our community and spend time with such incredible people. 🤍

The service, lasting around 30minutes, is led by your chosen officiant and provides a meaningful opportunity to reflect, remember, and honour your loved one in a calm and gentle setting.

This option is ideal for those seeking a private, respectful farewell without compromising on care or quality.

This week has been quite a spiritual one for me.

I’ve had the opportunity to spend time in church with a wonderful congregation who made me feel so welcome. On Thursday evening, I helped my wife, Mrs Bouquet herself 🌸, set out flowers for a beautiful church service. It gave me the chance to sit and chat with the pastors — and to reflect.

As funeral directors, we often work closely with ministers, vicars, and pastors when arranging services. But outside of those moments, we don’t always take the time to truly connect.

So Naomi, myself, and our team have decided to change that. We’re going to make more effort to connect with our church community — attending services, coffee mornings, and building stronger relationships beyond the services we conduct.

Looking forward to this next chapter of connection and community. 🙏
