It's been a while and a lot has happened to me in the last 6 weeks.

Because my videos can be notoriously long I am going to break down updates into three videos over three days. I have named each video after song titles

This one is “Wind Beneath My Wings”

The second will be titled ”Sheer Heart Attack”

The third is “All By Myself.”

Update 1

The skydive I was talking about so much did not happen. If you remember, the drama was my oncologist stopping me from taking part and my amazing daughter stepped in to take place despite her fear of flying.

On the day, the wind was too strong. They could have jumped out in Nottingham and landed in Derby. So it has been postponed until May 2nd 2026 and you know I’ll talk about it endlessly in the run up to it.

Those that have already donated to that, thank you very much. It will happen.

That’s it. You know why I share these videos.

I want to role model and encourage as many people as possible to have a positive and joyful cancer journey as possible

I also want to raise the profile of the fundraising mission my friends and I are on. Three great causes. We have a £50K target and are just past £20K

Any shares, donations and help towards our goal will be greatly appreciated. Link below

Finally, remember, I have cancer and I am not a victim.

Not Quite Right…..Not Quite Wrong

A quick video recorded on a walk.

Life on a positive cancer journey is not all bounce and joviality.

I’m struggling with my latest change in medication. The side effects of high blood pressure have really taken effect and we are in the process of trying to balance blood pressure medication with the anti cancer medication.

It is all a process and no worse than anyone else.

But it leaves me feeling a little …well…meh!

So what do I do? I get myself out for a decent but gentle walk.

The sunshine, the fresh air and the mental process of deciding to do something positive helps balance out the physical and mental lowness I feel.

That's it. Nothing deeper than that. Just “man does not feel quite right, goes for a walk, feels a little bit better!” Done

As always, I share for two reasons

I want to encourage anyone on a cancer journey to have as positive an experience as possible.

My friends and I are on a mission to raise £50k for 3 great cancer related causes.

If you feel able, please share.
If you can please donate.
If you wish to, join in and support us.

Remember, I have cancer and I am not a victim.

These are my two daughters. I am very proud of them.

Which one do you think has volunteered to jump out of an airplane for me? The adventure seeking adrenaline ju**ie or the final year trainee accountant who is scared of flying?

Some Background

In case you were not aware, I have stage 4 bowel cancer that has moved into my liver and my lungs. This journey will not end the way I would like it to and yet, after 2 and a half years of treatment which still continues, I do not let it stop me living the life I want to live.

Part of that is that my friends and I are seeking to raise £50000 in 12 months for 3 great cancer related causes.

The next way we would like to encourage you to give us money (because that is what I am after) is a tandem skydive.

Now I don’t let my disease stop me living the life I want to live, however, my oncologist has. She is adamant that she will not sign consent forms for me to jump. I am not normally the most conforming of people, but Ihave to consider the feelings of others such as my wife and children. So, regrettably I will not jump.

Back to my question, which one has stepped into my shoes? My youngest, Antonia, despite being scared of flying, will jump in my place. She is so brave and I am so proud.

Surely that deserves a share, a donation, a boost of some sort.

Please help us hit our target and then I’ll stop pulling on your heart strings

This video is entitled Stoma Scaredy

It is how I pushed through the final barrier of body image shame around my stoma and what I learnt as a result.

Hint….the fear is always greater than the event itself

Why do I talk so frankly about my condition?

My friendship group, and I, are on a mission to raise £50K for 3 great causes.

Barcelona what a blast.

Can’t think of anyone better to spend that time with. So many giggles.

Expect a few more cancer journey posts in the next few weeks. These are important to me and I’m interested in any subjects related to my journey anyone may like me to cover .
