This amazing lady Sara Cox raised over £9.5 million (at time of posting) for BBC Children In Need undertaking her Great Northern Marathon Challenge covering the equivalent of five marathons, over 135 miles in five days through very tough conditions!

What an INCREDIBLE achievement 🧡

What’s more Sara Cox is 50 years old!

In Sara’s own words; “I am representing the women out there over 50, and giving it as much welly as I can.

The whole ‘woman of a certain age' thing, we’re not having it! Are we women?” she said, as she was met with loud cheers from supporters.

Today we’re recognising WORLD DIABETES DAY.

Did you know that being physically active and taking regular exercise is good for all types of Diabetes (even Pre-Diabetes) making a difference to the quality of life and helping to better manage symptoms?

This is because taking exercise can help the body to use insulin better and process glucose by improving lean muscle mass. This increases your metabolic rate which in turn burns calories at a faster rate, so helping to keep blood glucose levels in check.

Additionally, improving muscle strength helps the muscles to store more glucose, therefore improving the body’s ability to regulate blood glucose levels.

Physical exercise will also help you look after your blood pressure, help to improve cholesterol, give you more energy, help you sleep better, and helps your joints and flexibility.

Joining Gymophobics ladies only gym is the perfect way to easily include exercise into your lifestyle as our workout takes only 30 minutes!

Ladies we’re sad to say that the temperatures have definitely dropped, and it’s at this time of year that we crave comfort foods.

LADIES LET’S SEND A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO DIANE ❤️

Since her last review Diane has lost another 13lbs in weight and 15.5 inches from her total body measurements- which brings her total loss to and amazing 4 STONE & 1LB and 53.5 INCHES

Diane has also decreased her BMI by 9.8%

I’m sure you’ll all agree with us that this is a truly amazing achievement and Diane is real proof that determination and commitment to following your personalised Gymophobics exercise and diet plan really does pay off!

Diane tells us that she’s feeling amazing due to her weight and inch loss, and so much more healthier - and we think that she’s looking fabulous !

It’s Stress Awareness Week, the perfect time to highlight the importance of prioritising self-care and personal wellbeing, and to discover effective and healthy ways to manage stress.

Exercise has been shown to be a powerful tool in reducing anxiety and stress levels, particularly in women.

In fact, research has found that when we engage in regular physical activity we experience significantly less anxiety and depression compared to those who are more sedentary.

So why not use regular exercise as one of your coping tools for the stresses of life?

By joining our ladies only health and wellness community, just 30 minutes exercising on our circuit will help to increase the levels of your “feel good hormones”, such as endorphins, serotonin and dopamine, making you feel less stressed, happier, more relaxed and improving your overall sense of well-being.

And, physical activity can also help to improve sleep quality, self-esteem, and provide a distraction from negative thoughts.

Plus you’ll find us a very friendly group (members and Instructors) and we love a good chat and laugh with each other whilst using our gym, which is also so important to positive mental wellbeing.

Gymophobics is here in Belper!

In a short 4 months the Ladies of Belper and surrounding areas have started to discover there’s a great way to exercise that fits into busy lives.

Our 30 minute workout has proved so effective, helping over 250,000 women across the UK to achieve amazing results. Our members will receive a personal program with VIP attention included- all without the price tag! Classes, one on one reviews, home exercise prescriptions, health checks, weigh ins, program changes, nutritional advice & food app are all included too. Our ladies see results in weeks not months, because we design it entirely around you we suit all ages, fitness levels & goals. In a beautiful and intimate environment our entire ethos is about making you comfortable. So if you hate the idea of a conventional gym, you will really love us.
