This week is Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week.

Sexual violence can take many forms, including any sexual act or attempt to obtain a sexual act by force, coercion, or targeting someone’s sexuality - regardless of their relationship to the victim.

No one should have to experience sexual violence, and support is available for those who need it. If you or someone you know needs help, reach out to a trusted organisation for confidential support.

Let’s raise awareness, break the silence, and work together to end sexual violence.

We’re currently experiencing a national Inform system outage affecting all sexual health services.

This means:
- We cannot book appointments
- Online booking (PHR) is down
- Test results may be delayed

If you already have an appointment, please attend as normal, though there may be short delays.

We’ll post an update when the system is restored.

Today is World AIDS Day.

Today we remember the lives lost and the resilience of our LGBT+ community in the face of the HIV/AIDS crisis. But this day is more than awareness, it’s also about honouring those who fought, those we lost, and those still living with HIV.

HIV changed our history. We lost a whole generation and the knock-on effects of the height of the epidemic is still felt to this day. Yes, it devastated communities, but it also sparked activism and solidarity. Thanks to treatment, people living with HIV can lead full, healthy lives. But stigma still exists, and that’s something we can all help end.

We’ll be out across Derby offering free HIV testing, condoms, and support.

📍 Florence Nightingale Community Hospital reception, 11am – 1pm
🚌 Uttoxeter New Road, 2pm – 4pm
🌈 The Crown Inn, 7.30pm – 10.30pm (with Derbyshire LGBT+)

No appointment needed. Just drop by.
