Wonderful news for our Finance Team who have been shortlisted in the Finance Team of the Year category at the East Midlands Finance Awards.

Of course we know how amazing they are, they were named as our Care Impact - Corporate Champions at our DHU CARE Awards 2025 (see pic), but to have them recognised outside of DHU is simply incredible.

They're the ones who ensure we have the means to provide the kit, training, medicines, sites, people and skills for you to receive the right care - they may stay out of the limelight but we're pleased to shine a light their way.

⚡ Encouraging change, one journey at a time

DHU Healthcare's fleet is now mainly hybrid or electric vehicles, and we're not stopping there!

By 2027, we're transitioning to a 100% zero-emission fleet and our staff salary sacrifice scheme will offer only zero-emission vehicles.

We’ve also recently launched the Liftshare app to help staff match with colleagues who travel similar routes so they can share their commute.

Our amazing Community Virtual Ward team were at yesterday's WardAnywhere 2026 Conference, sharing best practice of how we look after urgent care patients at home.

The NHS Virtual Wards to Virtual Hospitals Strategy Conference is a major event and showcases the future of healthcare, aligned to the NHS long-term plan, looking very carefully at alternative models of patient care.

Our Community Virtual Ward in Derbyshire has received national acclaim and it was a pleasure to share with other healthcare professionals how we are able to keep patients who need urgent care, but not necessarily a hospital admission, at home.

We look after our colleagues with the same care and compassion we provide for you.

Earlier this week our Clinical Training Team were in Chesterfield giving basic life support training to our 111, corporate and urgent care teams that could help to save a life one day.

It's all part of making sure that, with us, our colleagues have that little bit of extra knowledge to provide the right care for you and for each other.
