I hope you've had a better half-term than we have! We went to Leeds to meet one of Dr Heather's friends from medical school, who is also a GP. We stayed in an apartment that was advertised on booking.com as being "family-friendly" and having 24-hour security. When we got to the flat there was no security; the coffee table collapsed on our 7-year-old when he put something on it; we found drugs paraphernalia in one of the cupboards; and at 1am on our final night we had to ring 999 because we heard a man in the corridor threatening to set the flat next door on fire (when the police arrived, they caught him literally red-handed and arrested him on suspicion of arson).

Apart from that, it was a lovely short break 😂😂😂

Anyway, Dr John still has appointments available on Monday. Dr Heather was fully booked for Tuesday, so we have now added a couple of extra slots at the end of her clinic to meet demand. Do call, email, or book online if you need to see a GP and would prefer the convenience and personal attention that private care allows. I promise that we are better at treating illness than we are at choosing holiday accommodation 🤣

Are you struggling with Long Covid, CFS or POTS? Do you want to see a doctor who really understands what you're going through and who can help?

Dr Ori Abrahamson will now be offering a monthly Long Covid, POTS, and Chronic Fatigue clinic at our Formby GP site in Freshfield. She has particular expertise in managing Long Covid and used to be the lead clinician at the Knowsley Long Covid Service. Her interests include immunology, Long Covid, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and POTS. She is currently involved in research related to Long Covid.

She has appointments available on Thursday 19th March.

Happy Valentine's Day! We are incredibly grateful to the customer who gave us a voucher for sorrento in Formby Village. We used the voucher tonight and we had a wonderful time - the ambience and service were top notch!

It's half term this week, and the practice will be closed on Friday because we are meeting a friend. As a result, our clinics earlier in the week are busy already. We have now jiggled things around to create some more GP appointments on Monday and Tuesday ☺️ If you'd like to see us, do book an appointment online, or drop us an email (clinical@formbygp.net) if you can't see a suitable slot.

Dr Louise is fully accredited by the British Menopause Society as a specialist in menopause care. She has completed advanced training in menopause, which means she can manage your menopause even if you have a complex medical history such as breast cancer, or if you've already tried other menopause treatments without success.

An initial consultation with Dr Louise is an hour long and costs £240.
