✨ Free Dementia Awareness Workshop – Supporting Our Community Together ✨

We’re proud to be hosting a FREE Dementia Awareness Workshop in response to what our community has asked for – more understanding, more support, and more guidance for families navigating dementia.

🧠 This session will be delivered by Dr Shams Ilyas (Locum GP) and will provide practical, real-life insight into:
• Understanding dementia and its different types
• Recognising early signs and symptoms
• Communication strategies that truly make a difference
• How to support someone living with dementia
• Accessing help and support available locally
• Practical tips for carers

📍 Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, Liverpool L8

At Active Minds, we see every day how confusing and isolating this journey can feel for individuals and families. This workshop is about breaking that isolation, building confidence, and creating a space where people feel informed, supported, and understood.
