DON’T DO THIS AT HOME!!!
Inspired by England’s win in the Euros and encourage by my boys to play footie this is the result!! A lateral ligament sprain of my left ankle🤦‍♀️. OWWW!! Immediate first aid of RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation and this is how it looks 36hrs later. Could have been much worse. I have 95% of my movements, no background pain, normal walking pattern and strength - just don’t ask me to play footie!! Being a physiotherapist has its advantages!! Take Care out there!!

Welcome to Spring everyone! 💐 What an amazing weekend. ☀️
Those of you who may have indulged in some gardening this weekend - WELL DONE!! Gentle physical activity in the fresh air and sunshine is great for your mental health as well as muscle strength and joint mobility. BUT please rest assured we are here to help with any back pain, neck pain, knee pain and any other body aches and pains you may be feeling from overdoing the digging, weeding, potting or pruning. Grant Smith Physiotherapy

Grant Smith Physiotherapy started in Lytham over 30 yrs ago. Over the years the service developed and Mr Smith, the founder retired and left the hard work to the team of physiotherapists. In 2015, the service and the team of physio’s, Kate, Anne and Alex moved a short distance down the road to 261 Church Road, St Anne’s.

The Physiotherapy Centre is open 4 days per week and houses several complementary therapists, including Judith Kilgallon, Bowen Practitioner and Head Massage Therapist, Andy Ogilvie, Sports and Therapeutic Massage Therapist, Rob Edwards, Osteopath and Ian Fowler, is the Chiropodist (HCPC registered).

All treatments are private and we are registered with most of the private medical insurance companies. We also work with solicitors, medical consultants and general practitioners in order to ensure you have quick, effective and supported treatment to aid your recovery.

Physiotherapy sessions are all £35 each and last 30 mins. The first appointment is 45 mins to enable us to make assessment of your difficulties and gather the relevant information to plan your treatment.
