We had a wonderful time celebrating Halloween!
Yesterday, we made ghost and pumpkin-shaped biscuits for today’s party. The kitchen also prepared some spooky treats, including cakes with edible eyes, a black and green cake, and chocolate marshmallow "spidermen."

Today, we enjoyed live music with a special visit from Norma, who sang for everyone. Each person wore a hat or mask, and the atmosphere was full of fun and laughter. Everyone joined in the singing and dancing, and we all agreed it was a fantastic time!

On Saturday 4th October, five members of our staff, Lucy Smart our Senior Care Assistant, Natasha Burrow our Admin, Maria Smith our Kitchen Assistant, Jackie Cross our Kitchen Assistant and Sharon Swain our Chef, took part in the Shine Night Walk for cancer.

They walked 10k around Norwich, which took them 2 hours to complete and between them all raised just over £500! Everyone at The Hawthorns would like to say a massive well done to them all. They all really enjoyed the charity walk and are now looking at doing more of these for other charities.
