This is my favourite children's book!

☑️Great fun
☑️Alternative/surprising ending

It is good fun to read but also perfect for working on story endings in narrative therapy... it worth a read to see their faces at the end!

Also great if you are working on life cycles ( )

Attention is one of the foundation skills for communication development.

In order to develop an understanding of the world around them, babies and young children gradually extend the length of time that they are able to focus on an item/activity.

In order to learn language and communication skills from others, children need to be able to engage in joint attention with another person to focus on what is happening & being said. This is how they match the words that are being used to the objects/situation.

Not sure what is expected for your child's age, see below.... :)

Watching a child's confidence grow and hearing about them participating in activities that they used to avoid or find challenging is one of the many rewarding parts of the job!

It is this relational nature that makes learning prepositions (in, on, under, next to, behind, in front etc), more difficult.

There are rules that we are not directly taught but learn from exposure to a language. Such as... it is usually the item that moves, that becomes the subject of the sentence (e.g., the rabbit), this is why, 'the box is under the rabbit', sounds unusual, even though it is true.

A rabbit on a box also looks very different to the sock on your foot!

Label prepositions, in fun, meaningful experiences, such as, at the park. Using the signs as you say the words, will also help increase your child's understanding of these.
