And this is why I do, and love my job.

I had a call from a swimmer's mum asking for help. Her son was worried and nervous about going on his paddle board would I go out and have a paddle board session with them.

The first 10 mins he's sitting worried about getting off sitting, get him to stand and then get himself in to prove he can self rescue. He does with a little complaining.

Fast forward half an hour he's Swimming with others, life jacket off and jumping in off the mooring station.

The next day I get a video sent through of him standing and paddling solo. Confidence is everything when it comes to it.

The same day I get a video from another parent of their non-swimming teen swimming the length of their hotel pool. A year in the making but so worth it for the later life it will bring to them

I might never be rich with money but my job gives people life skills and confidence for later life.
