We provide all types of residential care and specialise in Dementia Care for our residents. We also offer day care, short stays and respite. The Limes is registered for 42 beds and specializes in Dementia care. We provide accommodation and personal care for elderly people aged over 65 and at the Home, 365 days a year. The home welcomes people to stay on both a permanent and short-term basis. Our management team carry out assessments on all prospective residents before they come to join us, to ensure that we can meet their needs. We are also able to take emergency admissions in special cases. The Limes is situated in Hellesdon, a suburb of Norwich, which is in easy driving reach of city centre and countryside. We provide free car parking for all visitors 24 hours a day. Our nearest airport is based in the city of Norwich. There is a planned program of redevelopment and redecoration for the home. The individual choices of residents regarding watching television, listening to music and conversation are all catered for within the home within 3 lounges and 2 dining rooms. We are able to cater for all residents and any visitors wishing to visit the home. We ask that visitors to respect the protective meal time that is in place. This is on the front door on entry. All rooms are numbered and signs are in place up and down corridors. We operate a Zero Tolerance Policy. Residents are able to choose daily from a selection of meal options freshly cooked by the home’s Chef. Much emphasis is placed on choice. Residents are able to choose to eat in either of the dining rooms or in their own room if they wish. All staff are fully trained to deliver a high standard of care to meet the Residents need. Staff are trained in regards to Dementia and all mandatory trainings such as Moving and Handling, First aid awareness, Infection Control, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty, Safeguarding of adults and children, Food safety, Fire Awareness and other trainings that are relevant to Health and Social Care Act 2008. All staff are expected to complete the Care Certificate training that replaces the Common Induction Standards. The Limes is not registered as nursing home, therefore we cannot offer nursing care needs. The Limes have a scheduled day once a week for the GP’s visit. In an event that any Resident should need attention from the community nursing team, it is requested via the community nursing hub. The Limes has developed a good relationship between the community nursing team & GP practice. The Limes also offer weekly visit from the hairdresser, 6weeks visit from Chiropodist, yearly visits from an optician as required and by request visit from mobile Dentist. We place a strong emphasis on the highest quality of service possible for all our Residents and other stakeholders. The Home believes that, no matter how good the present services are, there is always room for improvement. The Limes is a comprehensively equipped Private Residential Care Home, which is registered under the terms of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The Home is dedicated to the provision of the finest care for our Residents. This is achieved by providing first-class standards of care in accordance with the requirements for Registration and appropriate supplementary Regulations, and the Care Homes for Older People, National Minimum Standards. We strive to integrate the care with efficient administration and other support practices to make sure that we deliver a quality service, which is also good value for money.
