A very sad day the last one for us all at The Norwich Wellbeing Centre. This beautiful grade II listed building that I have been lucky enough to work in for the past 8 years has been sold from underneath us by the council saying the building was vacant procession -well quite clearly it wasn’t! The tactics were nothing short of awful. I will miss all the counsellors I have been lucky enough to get to know, the other therapists, training schools, the many companies & groups that used the space. My fantastic work colleague Khalid and his wonderful Mum Susan, who built up the business with much love. Thank you for the opportunity of working along side you and the many laughs -and some tears along the way. I will miss you all every day. 💔

January we are still in the months of winter we are however days away from the Festival of the Imbolic also known as Brigids day, where the very first stirrings of spring are upon us. To symbolise what is happening in our organic world I have chosen the wood stone and selenite.
Wood stone
A slightly unusual stone as it starts life as a tree, when the tree dies it returns to the earth and gradually degrades and becomes petrified. It is replaced when there is no wood left with Agate/Quartz/Jasper. The patterning found within the stone is from the original wood. It is therefore by nature a very grounding stone which heals and calms. It’s organic origins found within the rings of the stone help to connect with the past and is ideal for meditation. A beautiful stone to have with its natural beauty and its earthy wholeness. Use on the base chakra.

Selenite
Has very fine vibrations bringing clarity of mind and is said to be the stones of the angels. It is said to aid higher consciousness and higher guidance. It is again a calming stone used for meditation and deep inner peace. The stone itself appears to have rays of light going through it giving a radiance like no other stone. It is beautiful to touch and has a delicacy to it. Care is needed if it comes in lamp format as they are fragile and delicate shards can break off it. Selenite wands can be used to detach entities from the aura. It assists in judgement and insight clearing away confusion, helping to see the bigger picture.

The Ordinary earth stone

Any stone from the earth can be used as a healing tool. They all have their own vibrational pull which attracts us to different ones. Think how many times you’ve stopped to pick up shells and pebbles in the beach you’ve walked down. Somthing attracted you.
The very small stone in the photo comes from a rocky coast in Spain and has so much crystal in it -it sparkles in the sunlight and I have used this as a third eye stone. Don’t be afraid to use the stones you find along side ones you buy. At the end of the day it is all about the intention with which they are used.

It is a New Moon tonight so set your intentions for your innermost dreams and desires and may all your wishes come true.

Today is the Winter Solstice-the longest hours of darkness. It is also known as Yule. A time for awaited rebirth of the sun and the powerful energy this brings for regeneration, renewal and also self reflection. Yule in Pagon times was a celebration of the Goddess Moon energy. What better to celebrate the moon than with:-
Moonstone-a stone of new beginnings. It brings up in us thoughts not yet voiced, given time it helps with lucid dreaming to enable us to see clearly. It is more powerful at the time of a full moon helping to enhance psychic abilities. Also a calming stone helping balance yin and yang. A great healing stone for emotional trauma helping to release old emotional patterns and facilitate healing.
The opposite of the moon is of course the sun; so here’s some information on:
Sun Stone;
This stone brings nurturing and good feeling, helping to restore energy and also reputedly good fortune. Excellent stone for removing emotional hooks from others who are draining your energy. Great stone for tie cutting and having the strength to say no to the demands of others. As one would expect it acts as an antidepressant helping to increase confidence and self worth. When you look into sun stone there are amazing sparkles of what resembles sunlight.

Stone for December: Lapis Lazuli
This is a blue stone flecked with gold. As with most blue stones it works better above the diaphragm in conjunction more specifically with the throat and third eye chakras. It helps to open the third eye enhancing dreams and psychic abilities. A protective stone against psychic attack helping return the energy to source. It helps bond relationships allows for self expression helping to release any anger within that has not been voiced.

The stones of the month are going to be a bit different to the expected ones. Many people don’t realise that the month/birthstones have more than just a few attached to them. As new crystals are found they get added to a month. The birth stones of a month apply to everyone the only difference is if you are born in that month you will vibrate at a higher frequency when working with that stone. I am picking stones which maybe people are not so aware of -they are still accessible to buy should you so wish.

October-November
Apache Tears - a type of Obsidian, black in colour with a softer vibration than some of the other obsidian stones. This stone is good for protection, grounding and protection, bringing comfort during grieving and helping with depression. It helps clear the heart of old disappointments. It is a great stone for dealing with difficult emotional issues and sadness -hence the name Apache tear: the stone is intact a type of translucent black obsidian volcanic glass.
Glass stones; in my personal opinion whilst stones that come from the earth are going to hold more vibrancy than anything else-volcanic glass is a mixture between a close packed array of crystal and an array of glass. Working with these stones -any stone in fact is about the intention that is the most important thing to remember. It is all for the good.

Ruby
Is an invigorating stone which energises and balances it can over stimulate in delicate or sensitive people. Ruby stimulates the heart chakra helping to balance the emotions. It promotes positive clear dreams and stimulates the pineal gland which is in many cases over calcified. It is a stone of abundance. It helps sharpen the mind giving more concentration and awareness especially in times of disputes and controversy.
