We had the pleasure of meeting with Katie at The Tend Collective last week.

It's always such a privilege to collaborate with people who are working towards the same goal - prioritising children's wellbeing through supporting the connections and relationships they have with the people in their lives. ✨

Did you know is Children's Mental Health Week this week? A brilliant reminder that it's not just about what children say. It's about how safe, connected and understood they feel.

This week we'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our team, Sarah!

Sarah said...

"I became an SLT because I value the importance of being understood. Growing up around my brother who is autistic and has a learning disability showed me how frustrating it is not be able to communicate effectively, but also how when communication is supported, this not only reduces frustration, but nurtures wellbeing and connection. I enjoy meeting the children I am working with and seeing all their personalities. I want to support them to develop their communication to enable those connections with others"

Join us in welcoming Sarah! ☺️

Is January like marmite?

I've had many conversations this week about how long January is, with answers ranging from 56 days to 400! πŸ“…

For some January is a time to hunker down, give themselves some self care and regulate, ready for new beginnings in Spring 🌷

For others, it's a fresh start or something new!

For some it just feels very very long! ⏳

How is your January for you?

Today we're celebrating Zoe!

Happy Birthday Zoe!

Hello everyone! My name is Zoe. I have studied in both Sheffield and Musselburgh (just outside Edinburgh), but currently live in Norwich with my family. I love being outside with nature and spending time at one of the many beaches Norfolk has to offer.

I love working as a Speech and Language Therapist as no hour is the same! Not only do I get to travel around the whole of Norfolk, and sometimes dip my toes in Suffolk, but I get to meet and work with so many amazing families, teaching staff, professionals, and of course, children. Building those relationships and seeing their joy in connection keeps me going.

On my birthday I love to be with family and friends. In recent years we have gone out to a restaurant, played crazy golf, gone for a long walk, and most recently I was taken on a surprise trip to Disney! As long as I am with the people I love (and there's cake involved) I am happy.
