We met in ceremony and both knew we had found one another again. We married 38 years ago today and were blessed with 36 years. A bittersweet day. I remember the comforting words of an elder given to me during my difficult dating years in my 20’s. She said “ Not to worry. There is someone for everyone.” I relaxed and then there he was. The secret? First love yourself. Something we all need to learn. Thank you all for your support, prayers and love. The gentleness of kind thoughts from the Heartkeeps me upright.

Remembering my Love, Nicholas James Hurn June 25, 1954 - Aug. 8, 2022. Who would have thought that this young shy man would grow into the Great Healer that he was. Changing the lives of many. Not only as a gifted Acupuncturist. But also, as a Sun Moon Dancer and then as Chief of the Sun Moon Dance bringing this powerful 4 day healing ceremony to Norfolk. He was a Pipe Carrier, sharing his prayers for all of nature. He expressed his depth and Mysticism through his poetic self. All were changed who he came across. Whether it be a kind word, a funny gesture or the telling of a magical animal story drawn from his long walks in nature. He taught many to be who they are. I am so much more because of his love. Always in my Heart.

This was Nicholas' last ever moment in our garden. Transfixed by the multitude of birds. His love of Nature with him to the end. August 8th is the 2nd anniversary of his passing. Can I ask that you hold him in your Heart? Prayers are thoughts from the Heart and infuses the connectivity of Love. If I could ask as well, that if so incline you hold me there as well. Contrary to what everyone says - I do not find this tearing of great Love - easing. I suspect there is a great plan in it all and I will learn to live around the hole torn from the deepest part of my being. Not quite there though. I thank you.

We are so much more than how we feel at the moment. Please be kind to yourself.

Sometimes when you look in the mirror, you see a mess of a human being. All you deem wrong is staring right back at you, together with all the sad, negative feelings you struggle to let go of.

What you don't see in that mirror is the lives you have positively touched, or the people you helped save or healed.

You don't see the love you freely gave or the kindness you've shown. You don't see the fond smiles on some people's faces when they think of you. You don't see the wonderful memories you've made in a mirror.

You are so, so much more than the mess you feel and even look, after a bad experience, a failure of some kind, a mistake, maybe hurting others ...

You are a best seller book being written by great authors. It contains it all. And especially beautiful feelings, moments and accomplishments big and small.

So give that image in the mirror a smile and a nod of acknowledgement. It's deserved. 💗
