As an eczema sufferer I found that using the traditional methods of hair removal - waxing, shaving, threading or epilation just made the condition of my skin worse, so, on the recommendation of a friend I went to London to get IPL treatments - she certainly didn't fib when she said it would change my life!!! As I couldn't get the service anywhere in Norwich, I trained and set up in business to help fellow hairy ladies who needed this fantastic service - we now have branches in Norwich, Ipswich and Chelmsford, womanned by experienced former hairy ladies who have total empathy with new ladies needing our help. This is something that doesn’t get talked about enough.
You’ve had successful IPL hair removal. You’re smooth. You’re happy.
Then you fall pregnant, and suddenly you notice regrowth.
Don’t panic.

Pregnancy causes huge hormonal shifts. Increased levels of oestrogen and other hormones can stimulate hair growth or alter the normal hair growth cycle. That means hair that was previously reduced with IPL can temporarily reappear.
It means your body is doing what bodies do during pregnancy.
In many cases, the hair settles down again after baby arrives and the hormones rebalance. If some of it sticks around, it’s completely safe to come back for further IPL sessions once you’ve had your baby and finished breastfeeding.
