Over 80% of cardiac arrests happen within the home.
Only 7.8% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients survive beyond 30 days.
Although over 70% receive CPR from bystanders, public-access defibrillators are used in fewer than 10% of cases.
Using a defibrillator within 3-5 minutes can increase survival rates to 50-70%
