Today, we pause to honour and remember all our heroes who cannot be with us — those who gave everything for our freedom, peace, and future. Their courage, sacrifice, and spirit live on in our hearts and in the lives they made possible.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

🌹 Reminder: Remembrance Gathering – This Saturday, 8th November 🌹

Just a gentle reminder to our lovely friends and families — this Saturday from 11:00am to 12:30pm, we’ll be hosting a special Remembrance Gathering here at our care home.

We’re honoured to welcome a representative from the Royal British Legion, who will be joining us to share memories and reflections of Remembrance Day.
The wonderful Susan, our talented bagpiper, will also be with us to fill the home with the beautiful sounds of remembrance. 🎶

We’d love for you to join us for this heartfelt morning of reflection, stories, and music, as we come together to honour and remember those who served. ❤️

✨ What a wonderful day we’ve had! Our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon filled with music from the amazing Adam 🎤, followed by a delicious buffet shared with family and friends .

To top it all off, we ended the evening with a beautiful firework display that lit up the sky and brought smiles all around 🎆

A truly special day filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories — enjoyed by everyone!

💃 Afternoon: Seated Dancing with Alysha at 2:30 in Cogswell

🌟 💅🏻 Morning: come and have a pamper with Nadine and Andy in the cinema
🦹Afternoon: Guy Fawkes arts and crafts with Nadine and Andy in the hobbie hive

🎆🎇Wednesday 5th November

🎳Morning: Gun and games with Nadine in Goodwin quite lounge

🎤🎆🎇Afternoon: we have Adam Harrod to entertain us from 16:00 till 17:00 in the coffee shop.
From 17:30 the main man himself Pedro campos will be delivering us our very own firework display in the Cavell garden 🎆🎇

Today our residents had the opportunity in taking a therapeutic journey through art with our dedicated art teacher Lex guiding the way. 🎨
Our residents are finding joy and inspiration in every brush stroke. The final pieces look amazing. Well done everyone, we look forward to the next session! 🎨💕

🧙🏻‍♀️✨ What a spooktacular week We've Had! ✨🧙🏻

It’s been a fun-filled, busy week here — and we’ve loved every minute of it! 🤩

Take a look at some of the activities our resident’s and staff have got up to this week.
We have enjoyed getting into the Halloween spirit. From dressing up, pumpkin carving and sharing a spooking story we have loved celebrating here at Cavell.
A Friday afternoon of drinks, laughter and some scary dancing to finish off!

🔥🎆 Bonfire Night at Cavell Court! 🎆🔥

After the amazing success of last year’s celebration, we’re so excited to invite all residents, relatives and stsff to join us once again for an evening full of sparkle, music, and great food!

📅 Wednesday 5th November 2025
🎵 Live Music with Adam: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
🎇 Fireworks Display: In the garden, following the music
🍴 Buffet: Served in the coffee shop for all residents and relatives

It’s going to be a wonderful evening to enjoy together — with laughter, delicious food, and a fantastic fireworks show lighting up the sky! 🌟

We can’t wait to celebrate Bonfire Night with you all! ❤️
