I started Olcote Wellbeing as a business to show what you can achieve even with a chronic and complex health condition, that nothing need stop you from becoming the person you want to become. Olcote Wellbeing has your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing at it's core. I'm an experienced and cross discipline Personal Trainer, Clinical Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher (36 years practising), Pilates Specialist , Fitness Instructor and award winning Dance Fitness Instructor. I am also a fully trained and qualified Sports Massage Therapist, Reflexologist and experienced Counsellor, having worked in the charity sector before starting my own private practice. As many of you know, I'm not just The PT that likes a drink 🍷, but I'm also The PT that likes to knit ! 🧶 So, I started watching The Game of Wool (a bit like 'bake off' for knitters) on channel 4 with Tom Daley , another sporting knitter!
I've seen nothing but negativity about the show on various FB feeds. It makes me sad to see how negative and judgemental a society we have become! Surely, we should all be embracing everyone's individuality and creativity? So what if some of the stuff is a bit rough around the edges, mine certainly is!😂😂 . But I find knitting inspires creativity, feeds the soul and you get something at the end of it! So I enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing Tom and the contestants again next week and their next challenge. It's certainly inspired me to get my knitting out in public and be proud of my dodgy efforts! And if anyone wants to start, you should pop along to the lovely ladies at The Lost Sheep Wool Shop . AMAZING shop 😁

So, yesterday was a strange day. Not only did Claudia Winkleman turn up to Total Body, I also had a Halloween Snow White with a basket of poison apples and a nasty cut on her throat and Morticia Adams turn up to my SOSA Dance fitness class at Long Stratton Leisure Centre ! Monday: Monday Mindfulness

Begin your week with a positive intention, not pressure.

Focus on your breath, stretch, and set yourself a goal (however small) for your wellbeing today.

It could be to go out for a walk and treat yourself to a coffee, it could be just a conscious effort to drink more water, it might be to ,'just do' rather than over think. Move, rather than sit or eat better than yesterday. Small habits create a big change.

Sunday : Sunday Meditation

Having been in hospital a couple of times this year after a couple of Addison's complications and a few health issues continuing on — I had some setbacks. But slowly, consistently, and without any quick fixes, I’ve worked hard to get my body fat down from 16% to 12% (back in the athlete range) a BMI of 21.9 and a metabolic age of 30. Not bad for a 53 year old! 💪

No shortcuts, no magic tricks — just good nutrition, smart training, and focus.

It’s amazing what steady effort and the right mindset can do over time. I've always believed in the mantra 'The body is only as strong as the mind'.

It's our Wedding anniversary today. 23 years ago today we got married in the pouring rain ☔ ☔ The church steps looked like glass and we couldn't have any photos outside the reception venue because it was coming down like stair rods! But Mrs M-C looked radiant and we had a fantastic day ❤️.
In contrast to 23 years ago, it was lovely and sunny today 🌞 and we had Sunday lunch at The Roseberry to celebrate ,which was fab.

Happy anniversary Mrs M-C, love you to the moon 🌙..... and back ❤️. Bizarrely, the 23rd wedding anniversary is Silver plate! 😱 Two more years to get to the real thing! 🤣

Olcote Wellbeing embraces all aspects of fitness and wellbeing. From the art of Reflexology and the teaching of Yoga and Relaxation, to Personal Training, Fitness Classes, Massage & Holistic therapies & Counselling. I have a specialism in Pilates and core strength conditioning, I also work closely with programmes for the more mature exerciser to maintain balance, condition and tone in later life. I’ll help you get fitter, feel better from the inside out!
