Wheel Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) is a powerful backbend that energises both body and mind and a pose we practiced yesterday in classes.
The benefits of this powerful backbend are
Strong arms, legs, and spine
Opens the chest and lungs for deeper breathing
Believed to boost energy and reduce tiredness
Improves flexibility in the back and shoulders
Stimulates focus and confidence
As discussed in class last night, you have to be very careful to build up to the pose, always get guidance from a professional yoga teacher first. It was my last evening Core Conditioning and late Yoga class at Long Stratton Leisure Centre last night , the end of an era! So I'll leave you with that one to practice!
