My name is Nik and I have been 'The Dyson Doctor' since 1995, trading from Links Repair Shop since 2015. We have NO OTHER Branches or businesses with very similar sounding names ! I started working life as an Electrician, then became a well qualified Welder/Plater.I am an Engineer at heart following in the footsteps of My Father. I was a full time professional Disk Jockey until I retired at 35. I am also a qualified Sound Engineer and used to own and run a P.A Hire company. I now have a Commercial Workshop so I can make anything I like or most importantly turn my hand to repairing things properly.

I service and repair the vast majority of Dyson Hair Care products in and around Norwich. Usually the problem is a slow build up of ‘Stuff’ causing the problem as people tend not to bring a machine in for a service until it completely fails. In this case there is a plug of ‘Stuff’ covering the air intake just before the motor - I’m surprised this worked at all ! Your Dyson product, regardless of what it is WILL need attention now and again as they will not continue to work forever without a little attention from me so be warned :)

Almost 2 years ago I saw this for the first time (Left image), there are Pro’s and Con’s for Dyson coating their motherboards with silicone. The major Con is it’s more time consuming to remove the board. This is not a problem at the moment but I am hoping that this is not a glimpse into the future. I just wanted to point out that some things are not as simple as they once were.

I have clever customers, just by virtue of the fact that they are one of my customers in the first place so I'm hoping someone can help. Why is my AC doing this ? We did put the required 450g of correct gas in this last night and I'm not even sure it I lost any gas over-night. the compressor is on and off too quick.

As usual I'm getting lot's of enquiries from people who bought a Shark in the festive sales - We won't touch them and here's the reason:
