Rainbow Hub

Rainbow Hub Rainbow Hub is a charity whose diverse services are brightening the lives of disabled children.

Rainbow Hub promotes independence and achievement for both children and young people, through the philosophy and practice of Conductive Education. This is a holistic educational system using repetitive physical activities incorporating rhythm, song and phrases to help young people with neurological conditions and brain injury carry out simple movements. Conditions include cerebral palsy, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), Williams Syndrome, Moebius Syndrome, Downs Syndrome during the early years and acquired brain injury. It can also benefit individuals who do not have a diagnosis and those with global developmental delay, genetic conditions and other physical disabilities.

Sammie has been showing us some lovely pretend play skills! He has been demonstrating wonderful understanding by brushing his own hair first, then carefully brushing the doll’s hair. He even pretended to feed the doll with a spoon 🥄💛

These beautiful moments of play show that Sammie is really understanding the function of familiar objects and how they are used. This is such a fantastic communication and developmental achievement!

We are so proud of you, Sammie - what a clever boy! 🌟👏

A huge thank you to the whole team at Dickinson Parker Hill for choosing to support Rainbow Hub during Charity Will Month 💛

We are over the moon to receive an amazing £3,056.66 from you ❤️🌈
Your generosity - and that of your clients - will help us continue providing specialist therapy to children with neurological conditions and brain injuries across the North West. Every pound raised goes towards building brighter, more independent futures for the families we support.

We are so incredibly grateful for your support - thank you!! 🌈

Yesterday - in anticipation of his birthday today, Jack blew us away with his incredible determination! 👏

We were lucky enough to capture this video of him, transitioning from the floor to a chair with minimal support ❤️

Jack has athetoid cerebral palsy, which means he works extra hard to manage additional involuntary movements while carrying out his intended actions. Every movement takes immense concentration and energy - and this achievement is huge for him!

You should be very proud, Jack! (The thumbs up at the end tells us that you are 👍❤️)

💪 Happy Birthday and best wishes from us all! We hope you have the best day 🎂 🌈🥰

Here at Rainbow Hub, we’ve recently received vital funding of £3️⃣, 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ from
(The DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme) to support our ‘family days’.
These events offer fun activities for children and their families, alongside wellbeing workshops for parents 🩷

Thanks to this funding, we were able to host a fabulous painting afternoon for our parents and grandparents recently.
Whilst everyone followed the same instructions, each painting of a highland cow turned out completely different and fabulous in its own way!

There wasn’t much chatting - we were all far too busy concentrating, which was lovely and gave us time to take a minute, switch off the everyday noise, and simply be. Something that’s good for the soul every once in a while ❤️

What a wonderful activity, and an even more wonderful bunch of people to paint with 💛

Huge thanks once again to our amazing funder, and to Ellis from for very generously providing this activity to us at cost price 🎨🌈🩵

A huge thank you to ViewSonic UK for inviting us to attend Bett Global 2026 at ExCeL London and for their incredible support throughout the event 🙌

By proudly supporting Rainbow Hub on their stand, sharing our video and fundraising through their fantastic coffee stand (shout out to the fabulous Henry and the The Mobile Coffee Bean), the ViewSonic team raised over £600 and valuable awareness of the work we do supporting children with disabilities and their families ❤🌈

Bett was a fantastic event, and it was brilliant to see so many conversations happening around inclusive technology and education 👏

We’re extremely grateful to ViewSonic for their ongoing support and for helping us reach new audiences - thank you for making such a meaningful difference 💫

We feel so lucky to have friends like Jonathan and Jemima 🥰

Earlier this year they lent their time, energy and community spirit once again to our Christmas Tree Collection, helping us to raise over £23,600!! 🙌

On top of that, they presented us with a cheque for £1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ from their family business Rayner Rowan Construction. This generous donation will directly support children with disabilities and their families, helping us to continue the vital work that we do at Rainbow Hub ❤🌈

Please join us in sharing a big heartfelt thank you to the Rayner Family for their ongoing support. Your kindness means the world to us 💫

We’re celebrating some amazing communication progress from Oscar today 🌟

Oscar is learning to press a Big Mack button with a recorded “hello.”
This helps develop early communication skills such as cause and effect, responding, and turn-taking. We start by singing the Hello song using Oscar’s name, then present him with the button so that he is able to respond. We also encourage Oscar to wave, make eye contact, and vocalise a greeting - and he is doing so well! 🥳 🤩

During his communication session at Rainbow Hub, we also worked on attention and concentration using some fun toys from the bucket. Oscar particularly enjoyed watching the wiggly snake appear 🐍 We use single words and signs throughout to support his understanding 🥰

Such lovely progress to see - well done Oscar 🤩🥳 🌟

Our Story

A Brighter Place

Families are right at the heart of Rainbow Hub. Based in Mawdesley, Lancashire, we’re a charity providing therapeutic services for children and young people with physical disabilities as a result of a neurological condition or brain injury.

We are now supporting over 100 families per week, helping children to reach their full potential and gain more independence through fun, hands-on activities, while giving their parents the vital support they deserve.

No other organisation offers such a diverse range of services aimed at improving the physical, social and emotional well-being of children with complex needs, as well as reducing the stress and isolation in their families.
