Rainbow Hub Rainbow Hub is a charity whose diverse services are brightening the lives of disabled children.

Rainbow Hub promotes independence and achievement for both children and young people, through the philosophy and practice of Conductive Education. This is a holistic educational system using repetitive physical activities incorporating rhythm, song and phrases to help young people with neurological conditions and brain injury carry out simple movements. Conditions include cerebral palsy, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), Williams Syndrome, Moebius Syndrome, Downs Syndrome during the early years and acquired brain injury. It can also benefit individuals who do not have a diagnosis and those with global developmental delay, genetic conditions and other physical disabilities.

We’re celebrating some amazing communication progress from Oscar today 🌟

Oscar is learning to press a Big Mack button with a recorded “hello.”
This helps develop early communication skills such as cause and effect, responding, and turn-taking. We start by singing the Hello song using Oscar’s name, then present him with the button so that he is able to respond. We also encourage Oscar to wave, make eye contact, and vocalise a greeting - and he is doing so well! 🥳 🤩

During his communication session at Rainbow Hub, we also worked on attention and concentration using some fun toys from the bucket. Oscar particularly enjoyed watching the wiggly snake appear 🐍 We use single words and signs throughout to support his understanding 🥰

Such lovely progress to see - well done Oscar 🤩🥳 🌟

We cannot thank WellChild - the national charity for sick children and British Gas enough for the work they carried out at Rainbow Hub in 2025 and for the long term difference it will make ❤️🌈

We were incredibly fortunate to be selected for this support, and the impact has been huge..

Take a look here to see more - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xeFwW1zlxdQ ❤️

Our children and staff at Rainbow Hub have been enjoying the accessible outdoor space on a daily basis. The work carries out has opened up areas of our garden that our children couldn’t use before and it allows them to be outside in all weathers.

It has made such a difference to everyday life here, and we’re so grateful to everyone involved for their time, care and commitment 🌈🌈🌈

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share some very special news 🌹

Rainbow Hub has been selected as a finalist in the Not-for-profit Business Award at the Red Rose Awards, hosted by Lancashire Business View - and we are truly humbled💛

As a local charity, everything we do is made possible by the incredible support of our community. To have our work recognised in this way means more than we can put into words. This nomination reflects not just our team, but every family, supporter, volunteer, fundraiser, donor and partner who believes in what we do 🫶

We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside so many inspiring organisations across Lancashire, all making a difference in their own way. Whatever the outcome on the night, being named a finalist is something we will treasure - and one we share with every single person who has helped Rainbow Hub grow and support children and families when they need it most.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you ❤🌹

We’re excited for the next stage of judging and look forward to celebrating together at the awards night in March 🌈💛

We’re back at Preston North End Football Club today collecting vital funds for Rainbow Hub ⚽️ 💰 🌈

It’s always a spud-tacular day and we’re made to feel so welcome. Our brilliant little helpers, Ronnie and Evie, were absolutely chuffed to bits after meeting Jacob from SpudBros - they were totally mash-merised! 🥔🤩

A big thank you to for hosting us, to our wonderful volunteers for giving their time, to all the amazing fans who donated so generously, and to Spud Brothers for their time and very kind donation too 🫶
Your support really is a-peel-ing and helps us continue our vital work 🌈💛

…Right then, that’s enough potato puns for today 😜😅😄

Our Story

A Brighter Place

Families are right at the heart of Rainbow Hub. Based in Mawdesley, Lancashire, we’re a charity providing therapeutic services for children and young people with physical disabilities as a result of a neurological condition or brain injury.

We are now supporting over 100 families per week, helping children to reach their full potential and gain more independence through fun, hands-on activities, while giving their parents the vital support they deserve.

No other organisation offers such a diverse range of services aimed at improving the physical, social and emotional well-being of children with complex needs, as well as reducing the stress and isolation in their families.
