Our Story
A local service for adults and older people, Home Instead is a non -medical provider of specialist services; complex care needs, respite care, continuing healthcare services, specialist dementia care, rapid response services, case management services, companionship, meal preparation, light housework, medication reminders, errands, local transportation and personal care. Based on our tailored person centred care plan, our CAREGivers encourage, assist, and stimulate clients in a variety of daily activities that help improve their quality of life and help maintain their independence. All of these services assist clients to stay at home for a longer period of time.
The clear Home Instead focus is on providing a high quality care service that is person centred and meets the client’s actual needs, rather than the historical and outdated model of a "task driven and time restricted" service. This refreshing approach to providing high quality care in the local community is reflected throughout everything we do and our most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) un-announced inspection report, contains independent and unsolicited feedback and details on what our clients actually feel and think about our care services, CAREGivers and staff.
We are very proud that our service was recently recognised and shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious 2013 Laing & Buisson Independent Specialist Care Awards held recently in London, demonstrating how we have achieved excellence in delivering high quality, responsive, reliable and personalised home care services for adults and older people with learning, physical disabilities or mental health problems including dementia.
