Flu, whooping cough and RSV vaccinations help protect you, your baby and your pregnancy.

- Flu can be given at any gestation
- Whooping cough (Pertussis) can be given from 16-32 weeks gestation
- RSV can be given from 28 weeks gestation

Vaccination appointments are available within the Antenatal Clinic at Ormskirk Hospital every Friday from 9am-5pm, and also on the dates/ times listed below.

Congratulations to our Neonatal Team who recently took part in the North West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (NWNODN) competition and were selected to present their work, going on to win Best Oral Presentation on the day! Accepting the award, and pictured left, is Jackie Riley, Neonatal Sister and Clinical Educator, with Kelly Harvey, from the NWNODN (pictured right).

We know many parents and caregivers will be worried after seeing news about infant formula recalls over the weekend. Here's what you need to know:

Most formula is safe. Only some batches of Cow & Gate, Aptamil, and Nestlé SMA have been recalled. If your formula is not on the recall list, it is safe to use.

You can check our website for a full list of affected products.

The affected batches are unlikely to still be on shop shelves but may be in your cupboard. If you have an affected batch, do not use it. You can return it to the store and exchange it for an unaffected batch.

Safer Internet Day this year is focussing on AI and how to use it safely and responsibly. ⚠️ Product recall: Aptamil First Infant Formula

Danone is recalling a batch of Aptamil First Infant Formula because cerulide toxin has been found in the product.

Cereulide can cause rapid onset of nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps. It’s unlikely to be destroyed by boiling water or cooking.

Even if your baby seems well, it is essential to stop using affected products. If the formula was prescribed by a health professional, consult a pharmacist or other medical professional before changing formula.
