🧦💚🩷Odds & Socks Day is TOMORROW! 🩷💚🧦

We’re excited to be taking part in Odds & Socks Day in support of the Huntington’s Disease Association, and we can’t wait to see everyone getting involved!

🍰 Our bake sale starts at 2:30pm, and everyone is welcome to come along, show their support, and enjoy some delicious homemade treats.

Our wonderful residents have been busy helping and are really looking forward to the event, especially selling their very own homemade cornflake cakes! 🍫💝

⏳💜 COUNTDOWN TO OUR HUNTINGTON DISEASE FUNDRAISER IS ON! 💜⏳

There’s only a few days to go until Odds and Socks day and our fundraiser in aid of Huntington’s Disease association here at The Manse Nursing Home.

On Friday the 27th of February we’re coming together to raise awareness and vital funds for those affected by this life-changing condition. Huntington’s disease doesn’t just impact individuals, it affects families, friends, and whole communities too 💜

Our residents recently took part in a Residents Awareness Session on Infection Control right here in the home. 🧼💧

They learned the importance of:
✔️ Proper hand washing
✔️ Staying hydrated
✔️ Good oral hygiene
✔️ How to cough, sneeze, and dispose of tissues correctly

It was a fun and interactive session, and everyone did a fantastic job taking part. We’re proud to support our residents in staying healthy, informed, and safe 💙

A huge congratulations to Fred, who is our Dominoes Champion for January! 🎉

Fred showed great focus, skill, and a competitive spirit throughout the games, and his hard work truly paid off. We’re so proud of him and loved seeing everyone come together to cheer him on.

💜 We’re Fundraising for Huntington’s Disease 💜

At The Manse Nursing Home, we’re proud to be taking part in a fundraiser to support those affected by Huntington’s disease , a condition that impacts not only individuals but families and loved ones too.

To help raise funds and awareness, we’ll be holding a fundraiser event here in the home on the 27th of February, along with a bake sale full of homemade treats 🍰🧁. Every cake, biscuit, and donation will help make a real difference.

We’d love your support, whether that’s by donating, spreading the word, or popping along to support our bake sale. Every contribution, big or small, is truly appreciated.

Last week was extra special thanks to a tiny visitor with a big heart 💕

Meet Lilo, the sweetest little chihuahua puppy who came to the nursing home to visit our residents. From wagging tails to gentle cuddles, Lilo brought smiles, laughter, and so much joy to everyone she met 🐾

Moments like these remind us how powerful a little love (and a lot of cuteness!) can be 💖

We had a fantastic time yesterday with our bean bag games! These fun physical activities help promote coordination, gentle exercise, and social interaction, all while creating plenty of smiles and laughter. Moments like these remind us how important it is to stay active and enjoy each other’s company 🏃🏼‍♀️

🎨 We had a wonderful and colorful day at our nursing home! Our amazing residents enjoyed a fun painting session filled with creativity, laughter, and great conversations.

It was so special to see everyone express themselves through art and bring their own unique ideas to life on canvas 🌈🖌️ Moments like these show that talent and imagination have no age limit.

We are incredibly proud of all the beautiful artwork created this week and even more grateful for the smiles, joy, and togetherness shared along the way 😊

🎆 Happy New Year from everyone at The Manse Care Nursing Home! 🎆
For the second year running we welcomed the New Year at 12pm instead of 12am, ensuring all our residents could join in the celebrations and enjoy the fun together 🥳💃🕺.
Everyone was treated to a delicious special buffet lunch 😋🍴 along with plenty of laughter, smiles, and memorable moments.
A huge thank you to everyone for your continued support throughout the year, it truly means so much to us all at The Manse💜🤍

Today we are celebrating Christmas Day surrounded by warmth, kindness, and togetherness. Our home is filled with festive cheer as residents enjoy a special day of good food, joyful moments, and the comfort of familiar faces.

We would like to say a special thank you to our incredible team who are working during the Christmas period. Your dedication, compassion, and commitment mean so much to our residents and their families, and we are truly grateful for everything you do.

Christmas is a time for love, reflection, and gratitude, and we feel privileged to share this meaningful day with our wonderful residents, dedicated staff, and supportive families.
