🤍 7 WEEKS GESTATION 🤍

⚫The embryo is roughly 10mm long, or about the size of a grape or blueberry.
The brain is growing rapidly, causing the head to develop faster than the rest of the body, resulting in a larger forehead.
⚫The heart is beating and the major organs are starting to form, including the lungs, liver, kidneys, stomach, and pancreas.
⚫The arm and leg buds are developing, and the ends of the arm buds are flattening out, which will eventually become hands.
⚫The eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are starting to form.
⚫The neural tube, which will become the brain, spinal cord, and backbone, is forming. The embryo is receiving nutrients and oxygen and expelling waste using the umbilical cord and placenta.
⚫Hormone levels are rising rapidly, which can cause a variety of symptoms in the mother, such as fatigue, nausea, and breast tenderness.
