Guild Wheel Walk

Guild Wheel Walk Hi everyone, welcome to the annual Guild Wheel Walk Fundraising Event.

05/01/2026

The 10th Annual Guild Wheel Walk fundraising event which is on Friday 3rd April (Good Friday).

I am proud to host our local fundraising event which we have organised over the last 9 years as it means so much to our community. This year we will be supporting St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire, SUDEP Action: Making every epilepsy death count, Rainbow Hub, Derian House, Lancashire Mind, Baby Beat, NF1 Army, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, and Ward 86 Haematology and Oncology Ward at Manchester Children’s Hospital.

We started the Guild Wheel Walk in 2017 for our friend’s family who needed our support, the year later we went on to fundraise for all our local charities, totalling 9 so far, with our passionate community and we are proud to have raised thousands throughout these years.

The Guild Wheel is a must for all walking enthusiasts. You can challenge yourself to the full route or join at one of the other points listed below. You will also find many places to stop off along the way.

MEET at Bar 51 - Penwortham : 0800hrs and 0830hrs to register and set off at 0900hrs (there is no need to come to registration if you are meeting us on the route for the shorter distances. I have support at each point who will register you)

DONATION: £10 per person (Tickets available soon) plus any other donations welcomed. Here is the Just Giving Page which I encourage you to share to all friends and family -
https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/guildwheelwalk2026

21 miles – 0900hrs set off from Bar51, 49-51 Leyland Road, Penwortham, PR19QH.
14 miles – 11:30hrs from the Ancient Oak, Merry Trees Lane, Cottam, Preston, PR40NZ.
7 miles – 1345hrs from Bluebell Way Services, Preston, PR25PZ.

We do this so you can meet new people, so you can challenge yourself, sometimes you need to focus on something to help you get out of the house, this supports our mental health by supporting others and by raising vital funds for our local charities. There will be refreshments, live entertainment with Kev Jameson Musician and Lucy Fellows Music, also food cooked by the community for when you finish at Bar51.

Tickets will be available end of this month but please keep sharing and engaging on Guild Wheel Walk page and lets spread the word. We focus on charity awareness and raising vital funds for these amazing charities and what they do to support our community.

Hi everyone,

Bit random, but I have seen this pop up on my feed and didn’t realise about it till now.

Please can everyone who has time click on this link and vote for the Guild Wheel Walk - ITV fundraiser of the year award 😊

Mention how many of our community we get involved and that it’s the 10th anniversary next year ❤️

Dead line is tomorrow night for all entries. Much appreciated if you can spare a couple of minutes to do it.

Good morning everyone 💚

To conclude this year’s Guild Wheel Walk fundraising event we have an excellent video for you all to share.

Seeing this back makes me very proud of us all who take part, help out, donate and witness this event on the day and what people put themselves through to get around the wheel with family and friends all getting together.

After raising £4500 this year it takes the Guild Wheel walk over £30,000 total raised over 9 events! A massive well done to everyone over the years 💚💜

A lot are asking what we are doing next year for the 10th anniversary so here is a brief overview of what’s to come…..

Next year will be hosting it at BAR51 (Royal British Legion) - I am looking at getting 500 walkers, sponsors by businesses for T-shirts and promotions, volunteers and a big party afterwards with singers, food and beverages.

Who are we supporting?

Next year we will be supporting every charity who we have supported over the years which are: St Catherine’s Hospice, SUDEP Action, Rainbow Hub, Derian House Children Hospice, NF1 Army, Lancashire Mind, Baby Beat, and I am also going support Rosemere Cancer Foundation ❤️💜💚

Thanks again to everyone who keeps supporting our fundraising event, if it wants for you this event would not be growing every year. If anyone has any suggestion please comment or message me, every suggestion helps 😊

Without the support and effort from
Family and friends leading up to our fundraising event and also on the day, it would not be possible to make this the day it is.

Aidan managed the outdoor catering, with the cooks, chefs and supervisors on the day they did an outstanding job providing food for everyone throughout the day.

Selling footy cards, raffle tickets and smashing higher or lower!

Also my amazing wife and the girls who provided a lot of motivation whilst registering everyone and making sure they were signed in and also was safe when they got back. As well as supporting the full day in there cars making sure everyone was ok 💪🏼❤️

Myself, Dave, Hezzy and Brian had the easy job on the day cycling round the wheel making sure everyone was good and we got to engage with over 200 people on the route and getting to know everyone.

It was brilliant seeing it all on a bike rather than walking, but next year I will be walking it again!

A few photos from the end and some group shots from around the wheel.

What we noticed this year was that everyone still together in big groups and each group wasn’t far from each other. You all made my day a lot easier.
