Sooo, it's been a bit of a dramatic weekend so far...and so grateful for family, friends, the NHS, medical science, those who choose to work in the NHS, our understanding yoga community, my yoga practice, a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, a car, candles, music ❤️

Mamma Bev is doing well, but still on several IVs while they try to bring the infection under control and under investigations as to causes and blockages and my father in law has had surgery and is receiving the hospital care he needs xx

Thank you - so much beautiful beings for your understanding of the late cancellation of classes while we navigate my mamma's emergency hospital admission.

This lady, Mamma-Bev, is my inspiration, my example, an amazingly strong warrior, and does so much to help our studio behind the scenes - laundry, painting, hammock tying and general moral support - we wouldn't be here without her.

No class tomorrow night, but we anticipate the emergency care will have done its work by Monday night.

Gratitude for you, for family and for the free at the point of care system we have in this time and place xx

I ALWAYS without fail, feel phenomenal post-yoga practice 🙏
No matter how I feel when I step on that mat.
No matter my energy, thoughts, bodily aches 😂 Part way through I start to feel amazing and by the end of my...I'm flying high ✨

The Ashtanga method is so multi-faceted, inviting a compassionate witnessing of and a nurturing of growth of all the elements of our being...

To feel truly embodied and conscious of our awareness of this embodied experience of this life ....ooof, it feels soooooo darned good 😊

Sometimes your mornings go like this 🫣 But yoga means it's ok, just wipe it up and start again 🤣

We have a construct that things that don't go as we like "go wrong". That word 'wrong' carries so much unhelpful weight though, try replacing it with 'not as I'd have preferred' ❤️

Yep, that coffee went in every part of every drawer, so every utensil got rewashed, so they're extra clean and it took me away from trying to handle admin on a dodgy phone signal for a while ❤️🙏✨

⛔️ ADHD / Neurodivergent - Fantastic, Ashtanga Yoga and Mindful Flow were made for you! These yoga practices give your brain loads to work on, they’re designed to help calm a super busy mind. You’ll find a huge % of Ashtangis are neurodivergent, because it really helps us to calm and focus our beautifully curious minds.

⛔️ Not Flexible - Great, a Yoga Studio is absolutely the place to get flexible. You don’t need any flexibility to join a yoga class, but you will definitely become more flexible.

⛔️ No Balance - Awesome, a Yoga Studio is the perfect place to improve your balance. We improve your balance by teaching techniques and building strength.

⛔️ Not Strong - Fabulous, you guessed it…a Yoga Studio is a great place to build all-body strength. Each yoga posture works on core, arms, legs and shoulders.

When I came to yoga I was very weak, with no balance (in body, mind or life), a busy mind and burnout. Yoga gave me strength, balance, flexibility, focus, presence and peace and I love to share that with everyone….so, whatever is holding you back, let that go and join us ❤️

Here there are no expectations or judgement, just kindness, a joy that you’ve turned up and an intention to support you on your journey so you leave feeling better than you arrived each day and that each day feels more easeful than the last xx
