🌟🌙 Have you signed up for our Walk in the Dark yet? 🤩

Our annual trek from Chorley Hospital to Royal Preston takes place on Saturday, 25th April this year. It's always a fabulous night and every year, thanks to our wonderful walkers, it raises an incredible amount in support of local cancer projects to benefit those cared for here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and across the region.

You can find out more, or sign up here! 👉 https://rosemere.org.uk/event/walk-in-the-dark-2026/

📣 COULD YOU VOLUNTEER FOR US?
If you're not sure about taking on the distance but you'd like to get involved and make a difference, might you be able to volunteer on the night as a route marshal?

We rely on volunteer marshals along the route to help us make sure the event is as successful as it can be. It's a really important job, and the event wouldn't exist without them! If you fancy joining us as a volunteer for the evening, you can sign up here: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/FYFI 🙏🥰

You might remember that last week saw us celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2026! 🧪💉⚗️🔬

Well now one week on, we're sharing the last video in our series celebrating this awareness day.

Here's Jacqui Bramley discussing Clinical Research.

Please share these videos with people you might think will be interested in them. If you're a parent, sibling, carer or friend, sit down and talk with your young girls about Science and Healthcare careers. You never know the difference you might make.

Hopefully you have been inspired! 🌟💫

This week has been National Apprenticeship Week, now the NHS might not be your first thought when it comes to apprenticeships, but we have our fair share and Apprenticeships form an important part of the NHS Workforce Plan.

We'd like to take this opportunity thank our apprentices, and acknowledge the hard work and effort they give.

If you're ever looking for an apprenticeship, make sure you don't forget the NHS. You never know what opportunities we might have.
