At WALX PRESTON we have created a walking club with a unique twist. Our WALX Master and Walx Guides are professional, qualified and passionate about making our WALX unforgettable! So whether you want to walk for fitness, fun or simply to be in the great outdoors, join now and explore WALX that are welcoming, well organised and inspirational… wherever you may be. Everyone is welcome to WALX PRESTON and you don’t need to be a Member to get started. We run ‘Drop-in’ WALX where our friendly WALX Instructors will welcome you and give you a feel for what WALX is all about in a safe and fun session that will last between 45 – 60 minutes. Once you’ve taken that first step, you can discover the world of WALX and experience the full variety of WALX on offer right across the UK. There is something for everyone at WALX with our selection of Explorer, Wellness, Total Body WALX and Nordic Walx delivered by people who care. Join one of our Drop-in WALX to find out more and take your first steps into a world of WALX. For a low cost monthly fee you can join unlimited WALX with us. Our website is www.walxpreston.co.uk. Parlick mini-adventure

2hr 15 min walk time. 4hrs home-to-home.

A wonderfully fulfilling walk today, and still the whole afternoon left to enjoy.

We saw walkers, runners, paragliding and gliders.

Our views reached around from Blackpool Tower, to Rossall Point Watch Tower, Heysham Power Station, Morecambe Bay, the Lake District Fells, Yorkshire Peaks, Pendle Hill, Longridge Fell, Darwen Tower, Rivington Pike, Winter Hill, Snowdonia and back around to Southport and Beacon Fell.

It was neither warm, nor cold, that in-between place that was very conducive to striding out and up the fells.

We experienced Vitamin-See in abundance.
