🌧️It was a wet and miserable day last Thursday, but that didn't stop our fabulous WfA Preston team checking over all the Cycles to ensure they are ready for our Inclusive Cycling Sessions which resume tomorrow at the Sports Arena..
Note - our new finishing time will be 1230.

This Thursday will be my last session at Preston Wheels for All.
I’ve absolutely loved being part of this amazing project — first as a team member since 2012, and more recently since taking over in November 2023. It’s been a real privilege to work alongside so many incredible carers, service users, volunteers, and supporters. I've learned so much from all of you.

From 3rd July, Stuart Lockton will be taking over the reins, and I know the project is in great hands. I’m moving into a new role as an advisor to the Wheels for All Board, so I’ll still be around — just in a different capacity.

Thank you all for the memories, the support, and the laughs. It’s been an absolute pleasure.

Please join us in welcoming Stuart Lockton. Stuart is the Wheels for All Coordinator for Kendal and will be attending sessions in Preston over the coming weeks. He’ll be taking over from Seán at the end of June, as Seán moves into a new role within Wheels for All.

Apologies for the short notice todays session is cancelled , UClan have decided that the track is not safe due to ice and frost.

Wheels for All is cancelled this week Thursday 21st due to snow, ice and very low temperatures.

Our final session for this year is 28th November.

We are looking forward to our reopening tomorrow. A few points. No vehicles are allowed on the cycle track. The car park and toilets are 200 M from our location.

We are pleased to announce that Wheels for All: Preston will restart sessions on Thursday, July 11th. We are now based at the running track at UClan Sports Arena in Preston. Sessions will run from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Thursdays only. Toilets and a café are available. We look forward to seeing you all after our lengthy absence. I have received many inquiries over the past weeks about when sessions will restart. Currently, we are aiming to resume in early to mid-June. The new sessions will be held at UCLan Sports Arena, off Tom Benson Way, specifically outdoors on the running track, on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00 to 13:30. Depending on the number of users, we may extend these hours in the future.

Parking and toilets will be available. Due to space constraints, we have had to limit the number of cycles we can offer. Everyone will get a chance to ride, but perhaps not for as long as in the past.
