A gorgeous day out at Preston Docks 🌊

Our residents took in the marina views, visited the rabbits and fish at Pets at Home and enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Ribble Pilot.

Sylvia said she loved the surprise when some friendly dog walkers stopped to let everyone say hello to their dogs. 🐾

The Happiness Programme had its first session and we're so glad it's here. 💛

Using an interactive light projector, residents took part in activities like painting, popping bubbles and playing tennis. This kind of sensory, interactive activity has been shown to support cognitive and physical wellbeing.

Watching residents who don't often engage sit forward and join in was absolutely wonderful.

"What a fantastic day. I'm really pleased I came out." 🚐

We asked our residents where they'd like to go for a day out and Cleveleys Fish N Chips it was.

Everyone wrapped up and hopped on the minibus. We laughed and chatted over our chippy tea then enjoyed a wander round the shops.

Our minibus adventures are shaped by our residents, their passions, interests and what takes their fancy on any given day.

What joy it is for our residents to sing together each week.

Singing strengthens breathing and exercises memory through learning lyrics. On top of that, it's also a great way to socialise with each other.

We can't wait for next week's practice!

We enjoyed a lively game of Christmas prize bingo this week, with lots of families joining in too. There was plenty of cheering, laughter and friendly competition as numbers were called and prizes won, filling the room with winning energy and smiles.

🎅 He’s been!

Father Christmas and his elf paid us a visit, bringing presents and plenty of festive excitement with them. There were smiles all round as gifts were handed out and time was taken to chat and enjoy the moment together.

We then sat down for a festive dinner, sharing food, conversation and laughter around the table. One of those days that felt full of the Christmas spirit. 🎄✨

She takes her time making her way around our home, stopping for cuddles, chats and getting lots of smiles along the way.

One of those visits that quietly lifts the whole day.
