🎃 Bring your parent to Y O G A in October Half Term 🎃

A very very funny class tonight as we moved through some calming breaths and gentle stretches, sun salutations, and got creative with some Halloween yoga poses.

Some of our parents were channelling more of the co**se energy (lying very still on floor 😂) whilst the children brought the energy with their imaginative poses getting right in the spirit 👻

We finished by passing around kids essential oils filling the room with some delightful aromas for our final breaths during our relaxation 🙏🏻

This little mini yogi of mine (I say mine because I’ve taught her since she was about 3 🥰🫶🏼)

She not only attends my yoga classes weekly but also practices at home in her own little space and it really does show in her balance, her confidence, her ability in poses and IT WILL show in her wellbeing as she grows and develops. I’m super proud of her and her commitment 🙌🏻🧘🏽‍♀️

💫Our first class back on Wednesday and it was so lovely to catch up with my little yogis and also welcome some newbies too 🥰

We focussed a lot on the ankles, feet and the toes 👣 and we are going to be maintaining that focus this term.

Currently treating a teen at home with a foot condition called Severs, so it got me thinking about the need to focus on this area of the body a lil more in our classes 💪🏻

Ankles, feet and toes are such an important part of our body, often forgotten about or neglected. Gentle strengthening of these areas helps improve balance, prevent injuries and contributes to good posture.

Obviously this level of information is no fun for kids 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ so we use props like blocks, tip toe walks and balances, and TOEGA too🦶🏻

Whether you’re starting your first day at Primary School, your first day at High School, or it’s your first day back after the summer hols going into a new year, new classroom, new teacher, I want to give you the biggest hug and say “YOU GOT THIS 💪🏻”

You’re stronger than you think, braver than you think and it will all be ok 🫶🏼

And parents waving them off……it’s so tough, I feel you 😢 but remember you feel that way because you love them so much and you are such a good Mum/Dad 🥰
