The Lancashire Local Offer is a free and impartial service provided by Lancashire County Council. We provide information about services across the county for families of children with special educational needs and/or a disability (SEND), covering areas including health and social care, education, early years, finance, transport, leisure activities and support groups. We will not engage with anyone who posts disruptive, offensive or abusive posts, including posts that contain swearing or libellous statements. Any users who we feel are repeatedly misusing our channels will be blocked and reported.

The Therapy Adventure would like to invite Lancashire parent carers to this free webinar for

As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, The Therapy Adventure are hosting a supportive webinar for parents and carers, recognising the real challenges families face and sharing neurodiversity-affirming perspectives that can support children to build a positive sense of identity.

We explore together how neurodivergent differences are often misunderstood, how this can impact childrenโ€™s self-esteem and wellbeing, and how parents can advocate for their child in ways that are both supportive and affirming. Led by our Clinical Psychology team with input from Manchester Parent Carer Forum, and supported by Manchester City Council.

Community Roots run FREE sessions available at 3 sites- the Minerva Centre at Preston North End football ground, the Chai Centre in Burnley and at the Harris Museum in Preston city centre. There are also some online sessions.

Some interesting sessions include;
Understanding Autism, Understanding Anxiety, Understanding Depression, Living with ADHD, amongst others.

The sessions are free but please do book a place.

The Council for Disabled Children (CDC) has developed a suite of online training for CDC members, affiliated organisations and services, and parent carers. The courses have been developed to improve knowledge, understanding and practical skills and support in range of key areas that impact children and young people, particularly those who are disabled or with special educational needs.

Basically Cheer CIC, in partnership with Lancashire FASD, offers a welcoming SEN Parent Support group for parents and carers of children with additional needs.

Sessions run every Wednesday from 9:15โ€“11am and provide a safe, supportive space to connect with others, share experiences, and access advice and signposting.

โœ” Visiting organisations
