Michelle, Mark, Nicola and Anna would like to thank everyone for their kind words and the many lovely messages and cards of condolence we have received over the past few weeks. We have all been overwhelmed by the support, love and compassion shown by family, friends, and the many people who knew our Dad. To see so many people in church was a true testament to the amazing, loving, hardworking and kind person he was.

The past few months have been truly devastating, and we sincerely thank everyone involved for giving Dad the send-off he so rightly deserved.

We are also forever grateful for the exceptional care provided by the specialist nurses, doctors and teams at Royal Preston Hospital, Rosemere Cancer Centre, Macmillan, St Catherine’s Hospice and the District Nurses. Your help, care and support were invaluable to us, and we will be forever thankful for the compassion you showed our Dad.

Thank you also for the very generous donations made to St Catherine’s Hospice in memory of our wonderful Dad. The total raised was £2,197.46.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Tony for the lovely service at St Wilfred’s Church, for the beautiful flowers, to Sara at Longridge Golf Club, and to Nick and his team at William Houghtons for their professionalism, support and compassion

Who died peacefully at Longridge Hall Care Home on Sunday 1st February, aged 86 years.

Dearly beloved wife of Alex, loving mum of Jackie, Mark, and Janette, dearly loved grandmother of Jack, George, Amy, Rosie, Anna, and Benjamin, dear great grandmother of Evie, Orla, Louis, and Alice and a much loved mother in law, sister, sister in law, and friend.

The funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady and St. Michael’s Church, Alston Lane on Thursday 12th February at 1:30pm prior to private family committal.

Its with a heavy heart and a considerably darker world that I share the passing of our Dad and Husband to Sue.

He passed away yesterday after a 2 and a half year battle with cancer (His third time around!). I think the positivity, courage and caring nature he showed throughout this time really sums our Dad up. He was fearless to the end and passionate about making sure everyone was okay.

Whilst this is a tough time for all of the family, I can't help but smile and remember the times we have had and the lives he has shaped. So please use this post as a time to recall the memories you have shared with him. Feel free to post them here or save them for the funeral where we will celebrate his life together.

Jeff and the girls would like to thank everyone for the many kind messages and cards received following the loss of Angela and during the short time she was ill.

We were really touched by the number of people who came to the funeral - a real testament to how loved she was by so many.
