We would like to say a big thank you to the students from Midstream West Lancs for their wonderful gesture last week. They have been very busy making Christmas cards for our ladies and gents and brought them in to hand out 🥰

💚❤️ Elf Day ❤️💚

This week, our staff turned in to Santa’s elves to bring joy and laughter to our ladies and gents! From elfie selfies together, to even playing ‘whack-an-elf’, it was a wonderful day of Christmas magic ✨

Well done to our elves for going above and beyond to make this Christmas so special for our residents ❤️💚

Cosy Indoor Fun ☔️🎯🧶

When the weather is wet and dreary outside, our ladies and gents like to stay nice and cosy inside whilst our WISH Activity Team cook up a programme of nice, dry fun ☺️

Our interactive projector came out one afternoon and we were practicing our aim and throwing skills - it all got a little competitive at one point 🥰

The WISH Team also enjoyed one to one activities including a lovely knit and natter afternoon with our wonderful Joyce 🧶

Entertained by Dave Marr 🥰🎹

Last week we had the always lovely and highly requested, Dave Marr, come back to our home once again, much to the delight of our ladies, gents and their families!

It’s always a delightful afternoon when Dave sings along with our residents. His songs transport their minds back to lovely memories that we love to hear about ❤️

🎂 Happy Birthday Angela 🎂

At the weekend, we celebrated the birthday of our amazing Angela! Complete with cards, gifts , her family by her side and a beautiful homemade birthday cake, it was a wonderful day 🥰

We would like to say thank you to our Care Assistant Laura and to Head Chef Dan for making her day special. Well done team ❤️

Ladies Pamper Afternoon 💅💖

Last week, WISH Activity Team Lead Sheereen treated our lovely ladies to a pamper afternoon. They had their nails shaped and they choose a polish of their choice. The ladies were very happy as you can see from the pictures - it was a great for boost for their self esteem… beautiful on the inside and out 🥰

We Will Remember Them ❤️🌹

This Remembrance Day, our ladies and gents crafted their own beautiful poppies to wear with pride on the eleventh minute, of the eleventh day and of the eleventh month, in two minutes of reflective silence ❤️

They also had a hand in creating the beautiful displays in our foyer too, what a lovely job they did too 👏

⭐️ Employees of The Months ⭐️

We are so pleased to announce our staff members that have gone above and beyond the last couple of months; WISH Activity Team Lead Sheereen for September and Nurse Carol for October! 👏

They have both done our home and residents so proud in their fields of Activities and Nursing, so we want to thank them for their hard work with a spa voucher at Stocks Hall Health Club and Spa 🧖‍♀️

Congratulations ladies and thank you for hard work and dedication to our home ❤️

🎃 Halloween Party 👻

What a spooktacular day we had last Friday for Halloween! Our staff went above and beyond to make our residents day that extra special 🥰

From our WISH Activity Team planning, preparing, playing games and decorating the home, to our Kitchen Team cooking up frightening feast of ghoulish goodies for all to enjoy and all our other staff for getting stuck in to the celebrations and making it a day to remember!

We also had the fabulous JLH Productions come and put on an amazing show as always. That was the cherry on top of a fantastic day for all ❤️

Thank you to all who made it such a wonderful day ⭐️

Pumpkin Carving 🎃💚

With Halloween only a couple days away, our ladies, gents, staff and family members have been busy this week carving pumpkins together!

We would like to thank the amazing Farmer Ada’s Pumpkin Patch for the generous donation of all the pumpkins, our residents had a wonderful afternoon and you gifts brought so much joy 🥰
