Seven long years in the hospital and they thought he'd never get home. But Alcedo Care made the impossible possible!

What a brilliant day with our first cohort of current Managers and Rising Stars! 🌟

This week, Irene (Group Head of Learning & Development) and Jo (Group Head of HR) delivered our first Rising Stars development workshop (Foundations of Leadership) which was an engaging, insightful session all about leadership behaviours and understanding what makes us (and our teams) tick.

One of the highlights was the Geometric Shapes Personality Activity, where our delegates explored whether they were a Circle, Square, Triangle or Squiggle and how different styles show up in communication, decision-making and team dynamics. There were plenty of lightbulb moments 💡, laughter 😂, and “that is SO me!” reactions throughout!

The group also worked through real leadership scenarios, reflected on their natural style, and created action plans to support their development. The feedback so far has been fantastic so a great start to the programme.

This workshop is just one of six within our Rising Stars Development Programme, designed to develop confidence, capability and future leaders across Alcedo Care.

We’re excited to welcome our second cohort next week, and we’re already looking forward to delivering the next workshop in the New Year, which will focus on Communication.
