🌟 Morning visit for our Caz today at Abbey Wood Care Home Ormskirk

🏏 Cricket was the sport of choice and the residents absolutely smashed it!

💬 Loads of laughs, big smiles and plenty of friendly competition flying around the lounge.
A brilliant way to kick-start the day, thanks to the lovely team and residents at Abbeywood Lodge for always making us feel so welcome! 🏆

💛 Another lovely visit to Connell Court! 💛

Here’s our wonderful Gemma at Connell Court Care Home last week for one of our regular weekly Rise sessions. These visits are always fun a chance to bring gentle movement, smiles, and meaningful interaction to residents in a calm, supportive environment.

We’re so proud to work alongside the fantastic team at Connell Court, who always make us feel so welcome and value the difference these sessions make to residents’ wellbeing. 🌿✨

Residents in West Lancashire are deeply concerned to hear that Reform-led Lancashire County Council are considering closing 10 of their care homes and day centres for elderly people, including the Derby Centre in Ormskirk. My constituents have loved ones in many of these care homes and day centres.....

🎃 Another spooktacular visit for our Caz! 👻

This time she headed over to Peacehaven for one of our bi-weekly seated sports sessions and as always, it was a fantastic turnout! 🙌

Eighteen residents went head-to-head in a Halloween-themed game of hockey with a twist 🏑🕸️. We even swapped out the usual Rise Trophy for something a little more spooky and spine-tingling! 💀

A massive thank you to all the residents for another fun-filled session full of laughter, teamwork and competitive spirit and a special shout-out to the ever-enthusiastic Jane and Alison, who kept the energy (and the spooky vibes) sky high! 🎃🖤

The incredible staff teams who run these services do so much more than just “look after” people, they bring friendship, reassurance, and purpose to so many lives. 💫

Centres like Derby Day Centre help people stay independent, active, and at home for longer — and that’s something worth celebrating. 🌼
